The municipal council of Sablayan in Occidental Mindoro, southwestern Philippines, recently passed a resolution commending Bishop Moises M. Cuevas, D.D., Apostolic Vicar of the Roman Catholic Vicariate of Calapan in Oriental Mindoro, for “his tireless advocacy for environmental justice and sustainable development.”
