Indian Diocese Organizes Seminar for Rural Women on Leadership, Empowerment
A one-day seminar for rural women was held under the theme “Empowered to Empower” at Infant Jesus Church, Bolpur, West Bengal, eastern India, on July 4, 2025. The event focused on leadership training and spiritual growth for women from various villages.
Two well-known speakers, Fr. Shekhar and Sr. Bandana, led the sessions.
Fr. Shekhar delivered an inspiring talk, inviting participants to reflect deeply on their God-given purpose. He emphasized that every person is uniquely created by God with a mission and is endowed with specific talents and gifts to fulfill it. He encouraged the women to discover, develop, and use these gifts not only for personal growth but also for the well-being of their families, communities, and society.
Sr. Bandana’s session focused on how women can recognize and nurture the talents of their children, thereby reshaping their lives. The participants actively engaged in the discussions, sharing their experiences, challenges, and success stories.
Together, the women developed an action plan to guide future leadership initiatives and community engagement in their respective villages, drawing from the insights gained during the seminar.
The event concluded with a renewed sense of commitment, confidence, and collaboration among the women leaders, who were reminded that true leadership begins with self-awareness and a spirit of service.
