Let us pray that the Lord may give us the grace to live in full fellowship with our brothers and sisters of other religions and not fight each other, and praying for one another, open ourselves to all.
To understand the biblical world, it is indispensable to acknowledge geography and history, both the Old and New Testaments. Ultimately, to understand God’s Word is about understanding God's action in a specific territory and history.
In the effort to consider the contemporary reader some methodological systems are proposed: (a) the world behind the text, (b) the world of the text, (d) the world in front of the text (reader).
We pray that by the virtue of baptism, the laity, especially women, may participate more in areas of responsibility in the Church, without falling into forms of clericalism that diminish the lay charism.
