Bishop Marcelino Antonio Maralit

The Diocesan Shrine of San Vicente Ferrer in the Diocese of San Pablo in the Philippines was formally recognized by the Basilica de San Vicente Ferrer in Valencia, Spain, on June 6 as its spiritual twin in a deep devotion to the Spanish Dominican saint.

Bishop Maralit said that since social media content is governed by algorithyms and determines how content is filtered and recommended to users, a social media cohort with shared Catholic missionary orientation can amplify the Gospel message.

The incoming president of Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Philippines (CBCP) urged the people to unite to save nature for permanent destruction for the sake of next generation.
