Battambang, Cambodia, Even as isolated clashes persist along the Cambodian–Thai border despite the August 7 ceasefire agreement, the Catholic community in Battambang Prefecture is preparing for two major celebrations this month that will place the longing for peace at the heart of prayer and witness.
From February 28 to March 2, 2025, 300 young people from Phnom Penh Vicariate participated in the Youth Pilgrimage of Hope at Dak Dam and Busra Parish in Mondol Kiri, home to the Indigenous Bunong people, located 500 km from Cambodia’s capital.
Mr. San Saroeun encouraged the young people to serve others and the parish in their area, continue to live by the testimony of faith in the workplace and live by sharing good deeds with others, especially those who are abandoned by society.
