Diocesan Centre for Biblical Apostolate

In an effort to promote the Word of God and deepen the faithful’s engagement with Sacred Scripture, the Archdiocese of Goa and Daman in southwest India is undertaking several initiatives aimed at strengthening biblical formation across its parishes. These efforts, according to Fr. Mariano D’Costa, Director of the Diocesan Centre for Biblical Apostolate, reflect the Archdiocese’s growing emphasis on Scripture-based pastoral life.

The Archdiocese of Goa and Daman, southwest India, observed the Sunday of the Word of God on January 25, coinciding with the Diploma Day of the Bible Course organized by the Diocesan Centre for Biblical Apostolate at St. Jerome’s Church, Mapusa.

The Karnataka–Goa Province of the Order of Discalced Carmelites, in collaboration with the Diocesan Centre for Biblical Apostolate of the Archdiocese of Goa and Daman, organized a Bible Symposium on the theme “Biblical Text in Its Context in the Digital and AI Age.”
