Ten new priests were ordained at Jakarta Cathedral, with Cardinal Ignatius Soeharyo, Archbishop of Jakarta, urging them to embrace priesthood as a life of humble and self-giving service to God and his people.
On August 22, the Archdiocese of Ende, Flores, Indonesia, celebrated the consecration and installation of Msgr. Paulus Budi Kleden as its new archbishop.
Flores has more than 2,700 Catholic churches across the island. These churches are seen to become pilgrimage routes shortly, further driving religious and cultural tourism.
