Pope Leo XIV said Easter proclaims the victory of love over evil and calls humanity to reconciliation, as he presided over the Easter Vigil Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica on the evening of April 4, according to Vatican News.
The interreligious organization Religions for Peace issued a strong appeal for an immediate ceasefire and reconciliation in the conflict between Thailand and Cambodia, where border clashes had caused casualties and displaced families.
The Catholic Church of the Phnom Penh Vicariate in Cambodia organized the 8th Buddhist-Christian Colloquium under the theme: “Buddhists and Christians Working Together for Peace through Reconciliation and Resilience.”
