A historic Marian shrine in southern India is preparing to welcome thousands of devotees as Catholics and people from different faith backgrounds gather for the annual feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on September 8.
Archbishop George Antonysamy of Madras-Mylapore, in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, made his traditional annual pilgrimage on foot to the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Health in Chennai on September 4.
