Pope Leo XIV has renewed his call for an end to violence against Palestinians in the West Bank, urging the international community to work toward a two-state solution as the path to a just and lasting peace in the Holy Land.

Pope Leo XIV has reaffirmed the Holy See’s long-standing support for the two-state solution, even as the war in Gaza continues to devastate lives and erode hopes for dialogue.

“I carry the pain and suffering of Palestinians and Israelis in my heart,” Holy Father said.

Jerusalem's Old City is split into historic Jewish, Muslim, Christian, and Armenian quarters.
