Archbishop Joseph Arshad of Rawalpindi–Islamabad, Pakistan, has extended greetings to the Muslim community on the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, noting that this year Ramadan coincides with the Christian season of Lent.

For the first time in years, the holy month of Ramadan and the Christian Lenten season begin on the same day—February 18—offering Muslims and Christians a rare moment of shared sacred time.
