A Catholic woman from eastern India who initially left home to work in a convent kitchen has credited that experience with helping her discover a vocation to religious life.
An Indian court has ruled that parental dissatisfaction with an adult daughter’s decision to join a religious congregation does not justify the issuance of a writ of habeas corpus, Catholic Connect reported.
“We are so blessed to be present in the different parts of the Philippines as we continue to extend the Kingdom of God's love and our mission to the families and the church,” said Sister Minerva F. Jumawid.
