A Teachers’ Seminar was held at Borni St. Louis High School under the Diocese of Rajshahi, Bangladesh, on October 8, with the theme “My School, My Responsibility.” A total of 28 teachers serving at the school participated in the program.

The seminar aimed to recognize and celebrate the invaluable role that teachers play in shaping individuals and society. It served as an occasion to express appreciation for their dedication to nurturing young minds, guiding students toward a better future, and imparting both academic knowledge and life values.

Moreover, the event sought to highlight the importance of the teaching profession, motivate educators in their noble mission, and promote a culture of respect, admiration, and gratitude for their tireless service.

Fr. Dilip S. Costa, Secretary of the Education Commission of the Diocese of Rajshahi served as the chief guest and keynote speaker. In his welcome address, headmaster Fr. Uttom Rozario extended warm greetings to all participants and said,

“The proper management of St. Louis High School requires the united cooperation and active participation of the managing committee, teachers, students, parents, and all concerned.”

He further emphasized, “If the headmaster and teachers work together as collaborators and companions for the development of the school, the students will receive a true and holistic education.”

Fr. Anthony Hasdak, President of the Managing Committee, remarked, “For the smooth running of the school, the managing committee, teachers, staff, students, and parents must help, correct, respect, love, and show compassion to one another while maintaining good relationships among all.”

In his address, Fr. Dilip S. Costa highlighted the history, tradition, and contribution of Catholic educational institutions, stating, “Catholic schools around the world give special emphasis to forming students into humane and morally upright individuals.”

He concluded by saying, “Teachers play the most vital role in this mission. Therefore, the teachers of St. Louis High School should strive to become exemplary and noble individuals themselves.”

One of the participating teachers, Sriti Gomes, shared her joy and renewed sense of purpose, saying, “Today I am really very happy because our school honored all the teachers, and I am now more aware of my responsibility to give better service.”
