A Catholic music concert titled NOVA was recently held at the Good Shepherd Convent Auditorium in Chennai, south India, bringing together clergy, musicians and youth from across the Archdiocese of Chennai–Mylapore.
Organised by the Cecilia Ensemble, the Youth Commission Choir Team of the Archdiocese of Chennai–Mylapore, the concert featured more than 50 musicians and singers. Over 150 young people were involved in various aspects of the programme.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Archbishop George Anthonysamy. Several Catholic music directors and vocalists participated in the concert, presenting a range of liturgical and devotional compositions.
Sherin Nancy, President of the Cecilia Ensemble, coordinated the programme under the direction of Youth Director Fr. Ronald Richard. Madha TV, a Catholic satellite channel, served as the official media partner for the event.
