India’s Imphal Archdiocese joins Pope in consecrating Ukraine

Archbishop Dominic Lumon of Imphal, Manipur, leads the act of Consecration Prayer.

An archdiocese in northeast India’s state of Manipur joined Pope Francis in consecrating Russia, Ukraine, and humanity to the Immaculate of Mary, on March 25.

In Rome, a penitential service preceded the consecration during which the Pope approached the confessional box to make his confession standing due to his knee problem, and after that, he sat to hear confessions.

Archbishop Dominic Lumon of Imphal led the consecration prayer at 10.00 in the evening.

“Today, at this very moment, the entire church is united in prayer to consecrate humanity, besides Ukraine-Russia to the Blessed Virgin Mother Mary,” he said.

Priests from Archbishop’s House and lay staff joined the prelate in the Act of Consecration.

Team Radio Veritas Asia (RVA) Zo Service too was there at the behest of Father Mark Thang Khan Ai, director of the Office of Social Communications.

With the help of RVA Zo Service, the event was made LIVE for people on social media.
