Philippines to Witness Two Divine Mercy Congresses in Jubilee Year

Divine Mercy Philippines is set to host two major congresses in 2025, one regional and one national, both designed to deepen devotion to the Divine Mercy during the Jubilee Year of Redemption.
The first is the Cebu Archdiocese Apostolic Congress on Mercy (CAACOM), a two-day gathering scheduled for August 23–24, 2025, at the IEC Pavilion in Cebu City. Themed “Divine Mercy in the Jubilee Year of Redemption,” the congress is organized by the Archdiocese of Cebu, through its lay arm, the Shrine of Divine Mercy de Cebu Foundation, Inc.
The event will open with an Eucharistic celebration presided over by Cebu Archbishop Jose S. Palma. Throughout the two days, both clergy and lay speakers will offer theological reflections and personal testimonies on the transformative power of the Divine Mercy devotion.
Among the featured speakers are: Msgr. Romualdo G. Kintanar, Chief Exorcist of the Archdiocese of Cebu, Bishop Precioso Cantillas of Maasin, Fr. Junel Fuentes, Director of Cebu Archdiocesan Digital Communications, Fr. Lucas Inoc, Spiritual Director of the Cebu Divine Mercy Apostolate, Fr. Emmanuel John Rodriguez, Spiritual Director of the Diocese of Tarlac and others.
A special cultural highlight of the congress will be the performance of “Mga Dula sa Paglaum” (Plays of Hope)—a series of one-act, faith-based plays presented by the Teatro de San Pedro Calungsod, under the direction of Cebu’s renowned playwright, Msgr. Agustin Ancajas.
CAACOM will conclude with an Eucharistic celebration presided over by Most Rev. Jaime L. Florencio, Bishop of the Military Ordinariate of the Philippines.
Just three days later, from August 28–30, 2025, the 5th National Philippine Apostolic Congress on Mercy (PACOM) will be held at the University of Southeastern Philippines Gymnasium in Davao City.
Organized by the Archdiocese of Davao, this year’s PACOM carries the theme: “Divine Mercy Our Hope: Embracing God’s Merciful Love.”
Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.” Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
