Daily Readings: First reading: Exodus 34:29–35; Gospel: 13:44–46

Everyone has something very valuable in their lives. Some people have been married for a long time but never had children; they sacrifice all their wealth to try to have a child. Some people think a career is very valuable, so they can sacrifice their family, wealth, values, and trust to get it. Some people think health is very valuable, so they can spend their wealth to get it.

Today's Gospel wants to remind us that the Kingdom of God is the most important. If we have found and tasted it, we will be happy to sacrifice our lives, our possessions, even our lives.

Not only from our side but from God's side too. God was willing to sacrifice the most precious thing, namely His Only Son, to become a human to proclaim the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is very precious.

Do we want to sacrifice for the Kingdom of God in the most minor things? Are we sacrificing God's Kingdom for worldly things that we consider more valuable? Or are we able to try our best to joyfully sacrifice for the sake of the proclamation and realization of the Kingdom of God?

The choice is ours: pursue certain, more valuable things (the kingdom of God) or pursue obvious things (worldly).

Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.”  Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
