A children's song goes like this: “ The love of Jesus is sweet and marvelous (3x). Oh, oh, wonderful love. Higher than the mountain, deeper than the ocean, and wider than the universe, Oh, wonderful love.” At fast food counters, customers are asked and given options to choose the sizes of drinking glasses and the kind of food that will satisfy their needs. They may be small, medium, or large.

Our happiness in life as human beings is also measured depending on how big our hearts are. It is said, “Do unto others what you want them to do to you in return.”  In return, we will benefit from other people's goodness if we are kind to them. But if we do the opposite of kindness and goodness, then we cannot expect to receive goodness and kindness as we would like to have them.

The best way to bake and cook is to observe and follow the measurements of the ingredients properly, the proper strokes in mixing and cooking, and the temperature and time needed. Only then could we meet our goal: good taste, a good combination of colors and shapes, and a beautiful presentation that will satisfy our craving for food.

In our Christian lives, asking God for grace, wisdom, and strength is necessary. The more time we spend with him in prayers, silence, and listening, the more we let him recharge our body and soul (well-being) to become strong and firm even amidst trials and pain. Jesus continues to challenge us to love—higher than the mountain, more profound than the ocean, and more expansive than the universe. Let's not forget that we are the ones who will measure what we measure. Stop Judging!

Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.”  Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
