Fear does not have the final word when Christ remains in the boat with us. The courage of the First Martyrs of Rome and the frightened disciples in the storm reminds us that faith grows strongest during moments of danger and uncertainty.

Reflect, today, upon Saint Nicodemus. He allowed the spark of faith within him to grow as He listened to Jesus, struggled with the pressure from his peers, but ultimately openly professed his faith in Christ.
Reflect, today, upon the most grievous of your past sins. If you haven’t yet confessed them, then do so as soon as you can. If you have, try to see your soul through the eyes of God. God does not see your past sins with anger and disgust.
