A Malaysian bishop who is set to be elevated to the cardinalate next month said that his appointment is a vital decision for Pope Francis who wants to implant the Catholic faith in every culture, particularly in a diverse region such as Asia.
“These experiences give me inspiration all the more to be the instrument of God in shepherding the faithful, especially the least, the last, and the lost,” he said.
Bishop David: for the Church to become truly “Synodal,” it requires everyone’s participation in the call of apostleship and being in communion with Christ Himself.
“The majority of the workers have been impoverished. So, if you ask me how the situation of the workers in the past years is, it has really grown worse,” Bishop Gerardo Alminaza said.
