  • Moving To the Ends of the Earth

    We have come to the finale of this six-part series on The Acts. Part 5 gave us an account of Paul’s missionary journeys in Europe and Asia, pursued by vicious gangs of Jews and Gentiles alike. In Part-6, Paul makes his way to Jerusalem and then to Rome. As expected, he had to fight a lone battle with the Jews on the one hand and the Roman officers on the other. But Paul reaches Rome, the seat of the mighty Roman Empire which was spread across the known world. In other words, he had reached God’s Word to the ends of the earth.
  • Paul’s mission in Europe and Asia

    We are about to commence Part-5 of the six-part series on the Acts of the Apostles. In Part 4, we accompanied Peter and Paul on their missionary tours. We saw how Christianity established the transition from the law of Moses, reserved only for the Jews, to the redemption of all mankind through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In Part -5, we accompany Paul on his second and third missionary journeys in Europe and Asia and return to Jerusalem.
  • The Spread of Christianity beyond Judea and Samaria

    This is the continuation of a six-part series on the Acts of the Apostles. In Part 3, Peter and the apostles spread God’s word through Judea and Samaria, and they met with remarkable success. We also witnessed the dramatic conversion of Saul and his initiation as one of the foremost apostles of Christ. In Part 4, the apostles move on further with the same mission. It can be roughly divided into two sections: Peter’s journey into Gentile territories and Paul’s first missionary journey to the countries East of Asia Minor. It concludes with the convening of the Council in Jerusalem.

The account concludes with the awe-inspiring conversion of Saul.

    This is Part 2 of a series on The Acts. This narrative seeks to bring out the main elements that marked the beginning of the spread of Christianity throughout the world. It begins with the Ascension of Jesus Christ, followed by the divine outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. After that, we witness the powerful impact of the Holy Spirit on the apostles and on the fledgling community of believers that was rapidly increasing, spreading Christianity in Jerusalem first and later in other countries.
