Around 50 students and professors from Cambodia’s St. Justin School of Faith, led by Bishop Olivier Schmitthaeusler, undertook a four-day pilgrimage to the Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur and the Diocese of Penang in Malaysia from September 24 to 27, 2026, to deepen their faith and learn about interreligious harmony.

Archbishop Julian Leow of Kuala Lumpur has called on Malaysians to be grateful for the diversity that shapes the Southeast Asian nation, as the country marked its 69th National Day on August 31.

The forum convened a diverse group of participants to discuss and advocate for the promotion of human rights in Malaysia and beyond.

“In the Rite of Election, we celebrate that God has personally chosen you to be a part of His elect,” said Archbishop Julian Leow.
