Catholic communities across the Philippines will unite in prayer and repentance on October 7, 2025, as the nation observes the National Day of Prayer and Public Repentance, a collective act of faith and humility called by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP).
The words of St. Lucia of Fatima, “There is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, in our personal life or our families… that cannot be solved by the Rosary”, are testimony enough.
As a little boy in my family home in a rubber plantation in Johor, 7 pm daily meant kneeling in the living room as the candles flickered before a small altar, hosting the Cross and several statues of saints, and of course, the Blessed Virgin Mary.
