Harvest festivals are older than temples and churches. Long before theology was articulated and liturgy formalised, human beings learned to look at the soil, the rain and the grain and to recognise a simple truth: life is received, not manufactured.
The Indian Church, in collaboration with the Arachudar Social Service Society, celebrated the Pongal harvest festival on January 14, 2025, in Tamil Nadu, honoring 130 municipal workers for their dedicated service to society.
The RVA Tamil service team joined the celebrations at St. Mathew’s Church located at Kadambathur, Tamilnadu, along with the Parish Priest, Fr. Arul Jesudoss and the parishioners.
