As the Jubilee Year 2025 draws to a close, the Church stands at a threshold. Guided by Pope Francis’ Jubilee Bull Spes non confundit, Hope Does Not Disappoint, Catholics around the world have spent the year opening Holy Doors, crossing spiritual thresholds, and rediscovering hope amid a wounded world.

In his traditional Urbi et Orbi (To the City and the World) Easter message, Pope Francis offered a stirring proclamation of the Resurrection and a heartfelt appeal for global peace, hope, and solidarity.

Pope Francis opened the Holy Door of Saint Peter's Basilica on the evening of December 24, 2024, officially inaugurating the highly anticipated 2025 Jubilee Year of Hope.
