Nearly 1,800 people in rural Timor-Leste have gained access to safer and more reliable water through a Jesuit-led project that is reducing the time families spend collecting water and improving health, education and livelihoods.
Jesuit Mission Australia is helping young women in marginalized communities across India build better futures through education, employment, and community empowerment programs.
Various Catholic religious congregations working in Myanmar are appealing for donations for that country, which is facing ongoing civil war and the aftermath of the recent earthquake that ravaged it.
“We became aware of the fact that we were without basic amenities like access to roads, safe drinking water, and building supplies,” Himatbhai Punabhai said.
