Catholic religious congregations appeal for donations to Myanmar

Various Catholic religious congregations working in Myanmar are appealing for donations for that country, which is facing ongoing civil war and the aftermath of the recent earthquake that ravaged it.
The Jesuit Mission Australia is urgently appealing for more support for families in Myanmar who continue to be crippled by war and natural disasters.
Four years of relentless conflict have left the country in ruins.
Currently, nearly 20 million people, many of them children, are in desperate need of emergency assistance in Myanmar.
With the support from Australian donors, the Jesuit Mission Emergency Action Fund, since 2021, has helped over 850,000 women, men, and children in 14 countries to survive devastation, crisis, and turmoil.
A donation today could help deliver crucial emergency support to people in war-torn Myanmar and other crises around the world.
Meanwhile, the Sisters of Our Lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd also have made an urgent call to solicit donations for Myanmar.
A powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar on March 28, leaving families without shelter, clean water, or necessities. Over 17 million lives have been affected.
Good Shepherd sisters, supported by GSIF, are on the ground, providing immediate relief to the hardest-hit communities.
People’s donations can help rebuild the Good Shepherd Center and restore water systems, toilets, and spaces where women and children can heal, gather, and learn.
There are other religious congregations and dioceses, and Catholic NGOs working in Myanmar are seeking financial help to rebuild lives and restore hope.
Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.” Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
