In a new pastoral letter, Archbishop Simon Poh of Kuching reflects on his own journey of faith and urges parents to reclaim their role as the first teachers of Christian belief. His heartfelt appeal comes as the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Malaysia calls the Church to a renewed commitment to catechesis.
On April 23, many Catholics and religious individuals gathered at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist to pay their respects to Pope Francis and sign the condolence book.
“Pope Francis has inspired a Church that is welcoming with a human heart, showing the merciful face of God,” says Archbishop Simon Poh of Kuching, Malaysia.
