A newly ordained bishop in the Philippines was reminded to walk and feel with the flock entrusted to him in line with the Church’s desire to build a deeply synodal community.

Pope Leo XIV on Friday made his first appointment of a Filipino bishop, naming Fr. Dave Dean Capucao as the new shepherd of the Prelature of Infanta, according to the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) News.
