In a moving demonstration of unity and shared purpose, religious leaders, scholars, and believers from various faiths gathered at St. Andrew’s College Auditorium, Bandra, in the western Indian city of Mumbai, on October 4 for an interfaith event titled “Pilgrims of Hope: Religious Journeying Together for Peace.”

The Catholic Church in Bangladesh hosted a landmark international conference on interreligious dialogue and harmony at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in Agargaon, Dhaka, on September 9.

“Interreligious dialogue is not about changing someone’s religion. It is about listening, understanding, respecting, and building trust. It is about mutual enrichment,” said Cardinal George Jacob Koovakad, Prefect of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, during an international seminar on interfaith dialogue and harmony at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) in Dhaka on September 8.

On a week-long visit to Bangladesh, Cardinal George Jacob Koovakad, Prefect of the Vatican’s Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, celebrated Mass at Tejgaon Holy Rosary Parish, one of the oldest and most prominent parishes in the Archdiocese of Dhaka, on September 7.

The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Bangladesh (CBCB) organized a special ceremony on September 6 at the Archbishop’s House in Dhaka to welcome Cardinal George Jacob Koovakad, Prefect of the Vatican’s Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, along with his delegation, who are on a weeklong visit to Bangladesh.

A high-level delegation from the Vatican’s Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue, led by its Prefect Cardinal George Jacob Koovakad, is visiting Bangladesh from September 6 to 11, 2025.

The Catholic Church of the Phnom Penh Vicariate in Cambodia organized the 8th Buddhist-Christian Colloquium under the theme: “Buddhists and Christians Working Together for Peace through Reconciliation and Resilience.”
