“I Am Blessed. I Share”: Caritas Novaliches Appeals for Help Amid Flood Crisis

As the intensified Southwest Monsoon continues to wreak havoc across Luzon, Caritas Novaliches has launched a heartfelt call for solidarity and support.

Torrential rains and back-to-back tropical storms have left more than 12,200 families and over 38,800 individuals in the Diocese of Novaliches reeling from the devastating effects of widespread flooding.

Hardest hit are parishes in low-lying areas near La Mesa Dam, the Tullahan River, and congested waterways across Caloocan and North Quezon City. Homes have been submerged, livelihoods disrupted, and families displaced. In response, Caritas Novaliches rolled out immediate relief efforts, already reaching 4,651 families with food packs and essential items.

But the need continues to grow.

With the rallying cry “I Am Blessed. I Share,” the diocesan social action ministry is now calling on individuals, schools, religious communities, and organizations to join hands in extending in-kind support.

Food items, medicines, and non-food items such as blankets, towels, hygiene kits, construction materials, and cleaning supplies may be dropped off at:

Diocese of Novaliches Social Action Center
2nd Floor, Obispado de Novaliches
Good Shepherd Cathedral Complex
Brgy. Fairview, Quezon City

RVA Joins the Effort

With the Diocese of Novaliches being home to our central office for over 50 years, Radio Veritas Asia joins this call for compassionate action. We urge our listeners and readers: if you have been spared the worst of this monsoon season, consider reaching out to those who haven’t. A simple act of kindness, be it a bag of rice, a set of blankets, or a few medicines, can go a long way in helping families recover and rebuild.

Let us be the hands and heart of Christ in this time of need.

Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.”  Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
