Sixty-six priests of the Diocese of Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh, southern India, took part in a five-day spiritual retreat from September 21 to 25 at the diocesan pastoral center, focusing on prayer, reflection and renewal for their priestly ministry.
The retreat was led by Fr. Cyril Das, SVD, who delivered spiritual conferences and reflections aimed at helping the priests deepen their relationship with God and renew their commitment to serving the people entrusted to their pastoral care.
Held away from their regular parish responsibilities, the retreat gave the priests time for prayer, personal reflection and fraternity while focusing on their vocation and mission.
The retreat's theme, "Be Still and Know That I Am God" from Psalm 46:10, invited the priests to remain attentive to God's presence and draw renewed strength for their ministry.
Bishop Johannes Gorantla of Kurnool thanked Fr. Cyril for guiding the retreat and expressed appreciation to the priests for their participation and commitment to spiritual renewal.
The retreat concluded with the priests returning to their respective parishes with a renewed focus on their spiritual lives and pastoral ministry.
