A new superior for Caleruega: Community welcomed Dominican Giuseppe Pietro Arsciwals

The Community of the House of St. Mary Magdalene (Caleruega Philippines) in Nasugbu in Batangas province on May 27 welcomed its new superior, Br. Giuseppe Pietro V. Arsciwals, an Dominican.
The Holy Mass was celebrated by their Prior Provincial, Fr. Filemon dela Cruz Jr., OP., with the communities of St. Albert the Great (Calamba) and Bahay Dominiko also present for the occasion.
Admired for its Spanish colonial architecture, and peaceful and reflective environment, the retreat center run by Dominican priests provides spiritual sustenance through worship activities, retreats, workshops, and others including weddings.
The official announcement on Caleruega Philippines' Facebook page generated joy and support for his leadership, as "Fr. Jepoy," is also known for his musical talent and dedication to religious education.
Among others, he had served as Vice President for Religious Education, Mission, and Identity at Colegio de San Juan de Letran–Calamba.
In 2024, Fr. Arsciwals' composition “Ikaw Ay Pari” received the Best Inspirational Religious Song award at the 2024 Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA).
