Pakistan Bishops Visit Saint Peter’s Basilica During Ad Limina Pilgrimage

Pakistan Bishops visited Saint Peter’s Basilica during their Ad Limina pilgrimage to the Vatican on May 15, 2026.

On May 15, 2026, the bishops of the Pakistan Catholic Bishops’ Conference visited Saint Peter's Basilica during their Ad Limina Apostolorum visit to the Vatican, where they celebrated Mass together.

The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Bishop Samson Shukardin, Chairman of the Pakistan Catholic Bishops’ Conference.

During the liturgy, Bishop Shukardin and the bishops of Pakistan professed the Apostles’ Creed and reaffirmed their fidelity, communion, and obedience to the Holy Father and the universal Church.

In his homily, Bishop Shukardin reflected on the faith and witness of Saint Peter, describing him as the rock upon which Jesus Christ founded the Church. He said the apostle’s testimony and missionary commitment continue to inspire the faithful and strengthen the Church in unity, hope, and faith.

Following the Mass, the bishops met Leo XIV and received his Apostolic Blessing.
