India: Document for the Continental Stage of the Synod Released

CCBI Document for the Continental Stage of the Synod Released by the Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Leopold Girelli at Bangalore on November 11

The Conference of Catholic Bishops of India (CCBI) published the Document for the Continental Stage of the Synod on November 11.

The Document “For a Synodal Church. Working Document for the Continental Stage” was released by Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli, Apostolic Nuncio to India and Nepal, during the inauguration of the 33rd Plenary Assembly of the CCBI, at St. John’s National Institute of Health Sciences, Bangalore.

The “Document for the Continental Stage of the Synod” is the fruit of the Syntheses resulting from the consultation of the People of God in the first phase of the synodal process and will be the focus of the time of listening, dialogue, and discernment of the Continental Synodal Assemblies.

President Conference of Catholic Bishops of India, Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrão, Cardinal Oswald Gracias, Archbishop of Bombay, Cardinal Anthony Poola, Archbishop of Hyderabad, Archbishop George Antonysamy, Vice President, CCBI, Archbishop Anil Couto, Secretary General, CCBI and Father Stephen Alathara, Deputy Secretary General, CCBI were present on the occasion.
