"All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:..." In today's liturgy, the Church celebrates the advent of Mother Mary. Her birth took place in the simplicity and smallness of her environment, as she came from a small village in Israel and a simple family, which is why there is no record or account of this event in the ancient Israelite documents.

However, she is famous among all the saints in the Church, with many titles and devotions.  But why was only Mary chosen among all the virgins of her time? Among the possible answers, most people will say that it was a casual mistake, simply a fluke. "Casual might be the logic of God", said a wise man.

Human knowledge is limited, particularly when it comes to comprehending God's plan and actions. Therefore, of all the theories we may learn about the birth of Mother Mary, only one is clear and true: that she was destined from birth to fulfill God's plan for his people.

If she was born for a purpose, then it follows that I, you, she/he, and we all came into this world for a divine purpose. Our existence serves a greater purpose than we realize.

Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.”  Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
