April 26, Friday of the Fourth Week of Easter
Daily Readings: Acts 13:26-33; John 14:1-6

In the first reading, Paul reiterates that salvation comes from believing in God, because his Father raised Jesus from the dead.

In the Gospel, Jesus promised his disciples that He would always be with them and prepare a place for them. When Thomas asked how to find the way, Jesus replied that He is the way, the truth, and the life.

If a tree lacks deep roots in the soil, it is susceptible to uprooting. The wind can effortlessly sway it. It has no resilience at all. It will stop growing and eventually die. If we compare our lives to a tree without a foundation in God, sin and wrongdoing will easily sway it.

Our weaknesses and earthly things can easily distract and dominate us, leading to sinfulness. If you gave your life to God at all times, then life could be more meaningful. It is a fulfillment of his promise that those who remain with him will bear much fruit.

Call to Action for Catholic Living:  God is always guiding and bringing us in the right direction. Therefore, it is an invitation for us to remain with Jesus, who is the way, the truth, and the Life.

Lord,  guide us your way and show us the truth to have a meaningful life. Amen.

Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.”  Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
