Thousands of devotees thronged the Basilica of Bom Jesus in Old Goa, western India, on Dec. 3 to celebrate the solemn feast of St. Francis Xavier, affectionately called by Goan Catholics Gõycho Saib, meaning “Patron of Goa.”
3,000 Cambodian Catholics, bishops, and Monsignors from three dioceses, including 60 priests, participated in the celebration honoring victims of the civil war who sacrificed their lives for the faith.
"Despite the odds, we emerged stronger from it due to the contributions of many Singaporeans who worked bravely and tirelessly to adapt to every new challenge brought about by the pandemic," President Halimah Yacob.
