Commemorated on December 2, St. Bibiana, Virgin and Martyr, stands as a powerful testimony of faith and virtue, even though historical records offer limited factual details about her life.

As the Church in Asia prepares for its biggest gathering in twenty years — the Great Pilgrimage of Hope, to be held in Penang, Malaysia from Nov. 27–30 — Catholics are invited to rediscover their faith and walk new paths of compassion and dialogue.

One day, in prayer, I whispered to Jesus, “I hope you have taken my mother to heaven.”

Among the many saints whose lives are hymns of praise to God, St. Cecilia holds a special place. She is remembered not only for her courage as a martyr but also for the melody of her heart that never ceased to sing to God, even amid suffering.

Education is essential for this conversion. Schools, parishes, and families must teach young people to see creation as God’s gift.
