Foundation to Educate Girls Globally

The 2025 Ramon Magsaysay Awards were formally presented on November 7, 2025, at the Metropolitan Theater in Manila, Philippines, during the 67th Ramon Magsaysay Presentation Ceremony.

Safeena Husain, founder of India’s Educate Girls and one of this year’s Ramon Magsaysay Awardees, delivered a stirring lecture on November 4 at the Ramon Magsaysay Center in Manila, Philippines, calling on Asia and the world to ensure that every girl receives the education she deserves.

“This recognition belongs to thousands of volunteers, partners, and team members who have worked tirelessly for one mission: to find out-of-school girls, bring them back into education, and help them stay, learn, and thrive,” said founder Safeena Husain of Educate Girls.

An Indian non-profit dedicated to empowering rural girls through education has been awarded the 2025 Ramon Magsaysay Award, Asia’s most prestigious honor.

A Filipino priest and activist is among the recipients of the 2025 Ramon Magsaysay Award, Asia’s premier prize and highest honor. The announcement was made at a global event on August 31, which also marked the opening of the 67th Ramon Magsaysay Awards Festival Season—a celebration of transformative leadership and greatness of spirit that continue to shape Asia and inspire the world.
