Jesus addressed the Father in His native tongue, Abba, and for us, it may be Papa, Daddy, Tatay, or another affectionate term.
Reflect, today, upon this perfect prayer, the Our Father. One temptation is that we can become so familiar with this prayer that we gloss over its true meaning.
Calling God “our” Father also reveals the union we share with one another. All who call God their Father in this intimate way are brothers and sisters in Christ.
