On October 17, Caritas Bangladesh, the social action division of the Catholic Church, organized a food distribution program and health camp for disadvantaged adolescent females in the Caritas Mymensingh Region.

This program's primary objective and intention is to administer initial medical attention to disadvantaged adolescent girls who are facing life-threatening situations. This manifests the distinctive capabilities and aspirations of the field of medical ethics.

Around 40 underprivileged adolescent girls attended this program at Kalibari Drop-in Center (DIC) in support of the Lions Club under Alokito (Light) Shishu (Child) Project run by Caritas Mymensingh Region.

At Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital, gynecologist and medical officer Dr. Fahmida Yasmin conducted an examination of the children.

The children receive free medications and are screened for anemia, malnutrition, headaches, fever, vitamin deficiency issues, and secret problems of adolescent females during health checkups.

The event, according to Dr. Yasmin was a "good chance" for her to "serve and assist the disadvantaged adolescent girls" in the nation.

"In our society, today's girls are the future of tomorrow." Yasmin stated, "So, we need good healthcare services for their bright future,"

She advised the children to "maintain a regular clean appearance, bathe daily, trim fingernails on a regular basis, and do other things to enhance the quality of their lives."

Yasmin lauded this extraordinary program for disadvantaged children. She was commended by Caritas Bangladesh for her exemplary and philanthropic efforts at the conclusion of the camp.

A member of the Caritas staff stated, “Medical camps are conducted by health professionals to carry out limited health interventions amongst the underprivileged community.”

Girls from disadvantaged backgrounds and poverty levels join these camps in order to receive free medical examinations and treatment. Age, lifestyle, familial history, hazards, and other significant factors are all taken into consideration when determining which type of health examination is most suitable for an individual.

Early health examinations and tests can expedite the recovery process and prevent further loss of life by detecting and treating illnesses in their nascent phases.

Predictably living an extended and higher quality of life is only possible with the proper medical examination, screening, and treatment. Even the most fundamental examinations have the capability to detect latent diseases. - Nikhil Gomes
