Caritas Bangladesh Trains Youth in Ethics and Leadership in Mymensingh
Caritas Bangladesh’s Mymensingh Region recently conducted a youth formation training, bringing together more than 40 participants at its regional auditorium in Mymensingh, north-central Bangladesh, from April 19 to 21.
The three-day program, held under the FIAY Project, focused on strengthening participants’ understanding of spirituality and ethical responsibility.
Sessions included guided discussions, group work, and practical exercises aimed at helping young people apply moral principles in everyday situations. Participants also examined social issues and reflected on their role in their communities.
Facilitators included Fr. Baiolen Chambugong, Fr. Manuel Chambugong, Independence Award recipient and social worker Aronno E. Chiran, Ms. Suborna Poli Drong, and the Mikrakbo Team. They led sessions that connected faith-based values with contemporary challenges.
Participants said the training helped them better understand the link between personal belief and social responsibility. Several noted the need for continued formation programs to support youth leadership and community engagement.
