Catholic nuns attend a course on interpersonal relations in Myanmar

As many as 19 Catholic nuns from four religious congregations attended a three-day course on interpersonal relational skills and nurturing well-being at Good Shepherd Convent, Latha, Yangon, Myanmar.
Sr. Agnes Piatu RGS was the resource person for the August 25-27 event.
“One can only relate well with others when one does have good relations with oneself,” Sr. Agnes told the participants. “Good relations with oneself can be good for one’s physical, emotional, and spiritual health.”
According to Sr. Agnes, the course was meant to help participants understand themselves well and build a plan in their lives to continue missionary work with zeal and commitment in Myanmar, which faces many challenges given the current socio-political contexts.
“I gained much knowledge from the course and sharing of experiences of my fellow companions,” said a participant.
Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.” Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
