The Sanbei Parish of the Diocese of Ningbo in Zhejiang province, east China, marked International Women’s Day on March 7 with a day of prayer, reflection, and cultural presentations at Longshan Church in Cixi City, according to Faith Press.

Women from several parish communities attended the gathering.

Fr. Xu, who led the event, highlighted the role of women in the Church, family, and society, drawing on examples from the Bible. He encouraged participants to live their faith in daily life, take an active part in parish activities and outreach, and contribute to family and community life through service and responsibility. He also urged them to be sources of care and moral example in their homes, witnesses of faith in parish life, and positive influences in society.

The program included moments of prayer, praise, and personal sharing. Participants reflected on their faith and exchanged experiences from daily life.

Women from different parish communities also presented songs, dances, and short skits during the event. The performances were prepared by parish groups as part of the celebration.

Fr. Xu concluded the gathering by thanking the participants and organizers, noting the strong involvement of parishioners in preparing the program.

According to Faith Press, parish organizers said the event also gave women from different communities of Sanbei Parish an opportunity to meet and strengthen their connections. Participants said the gathering encouraged them to continue their involvement in family, parish, and community life.
