The Disciples of the Divine Master (PDDM) celebrated the 25th anniversary of their mission in Hong Kong on June 30, 2025, the Feast of St. Paul the Apostle, at the Church of the Annunciation in Tsuen Wan.

The celebration included a Holy Eucharist presided over by Fr. Thomas Law, parish priest of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Wan Chai. He was joined by Fr. John Manalo, SSP, Fr. Giorgio Pasini, PIME (the current parish priest of the Church of the Annunciation), and other diocesan and missionary priests serving in Hong Kong.

Sr. M. Magdalene Magallanes, Provincial Superior of the Philippine-Taiwan-Hong Kong Province, attended the celebration together with several PDDM sisters from the Philippines. Also present were members of the Pauline Family, including the Daughters of St. Paul, members of the Association of Pauline Cooperators in Hong Kong, and some who traveled from the Philippines.

Friends, benefactors, and collaborators in the PDDM Sisters’ mission in Hong Kong also participated. The event was made solemn and successful in part thanks to the support of the aspirants of the Association of Pauline Cooperators Friends of the Divine Master in Hong Kong.

In his homily, Fr. Law expressed his gratitude and admiration for the PDDM Sisters’ generous service and valuable ministries to the people of Hong Kong.

Speaking on behalf of the congregation, Sr. Magdalene gave thanks to God for His graciousness and blessings throughout the past 25 years. She also extended her heartfelt appreciation to Fr. Law and to all those who have supported the mission of the PDDM Sisters in this part of the world.

Founded in 1924 by Blessed James Alberione in Italy, the Sister Disciples of the Divine Master (PDDM) is an international congregation of religious women. They form part of the Pauline Family, which includes laypeople, priests, and religious dedicated to proclaiming and living the Gospel of Jesus, the Divine Master. The PDDM’s charism is to announce, celebrate, and serve Jesus the Divine Master, with a focus on ministries related to the Eucharist, the priesthood, and the liturgy.
