A Jesuit university in the eastern Indian state of Odisha will organize an international webinar on prayer for bishops, priests, nuns, Catholics, and others on February 26.

The speaker for the event is an American Jesuit Father James Martin, a writer and a well-known figure in the Catholic Church and beyond.

He is also the editor-at-large of America Magazine, a journal of opinion published by U.S. Jesuits.

His recent book "Learning to Pray: A guide for everyone" has become a bestseller.

Prayer is one of the most important things a person can do. It is a time when one is communicating with God, and it could be taken very seriously. While there is deep meaning in prayer, it does not have to be complicated and difficult. It is something anyone can do anywhere at any time. But sadly, in this fast-paced world with so many distractions, one tends to neglect it.

Giving importance to spiritual life, the Digital Jesuits in collaboration with Xavier Institute of Management University based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, eastern India, is looking at the aspects of prayer and prayer life and how one can make the prayer alive in one's life.

“We have come up with a webinar that will help one to understand prayer more deeply,” said an organizer.

Bishops, priests, nuns, Catholics, and others can join. The link for registration is: https://forms.gle/AdEmvwQAcy8ZLJoA6

Webinar date: February 26, 2022, 6:30 pm -7:30 pm (IST), 08:00 -09:00 am (ET) Zoom Platform. A zoom link will be provided to those who register for it.

Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.”  Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
