Lenten retreat for Catholic couples held in India’s Manipur state

A Lenten retreat for Catholic couples from various villages under St. Mary’s Parish, Tuibong of northeast India’s Manipur State was held.

The couple’s camp was held at St. Dominic Church T. Chavangphai, from March 31 to April 4.

The speaker of the couple’s camp was catechist Stephen Thangtinlen, St. Vincent Parish, Pangmol along with catechist Henry Mangjang as the camp coordinator and catechist George Kakai to assist his colleagues.

Today families need more care and attention than ever before because family is the foundation and nucleus of the church.

In modern times, the very institution of family is under attack due to various factors like secularism, individualism, and media, said Kakai.

The couple’s camp was organized with the theme “Put your house in Order” (Isaiah 38:1).
