April 11, Memorial of Saint Stanislaus, Bishop and Martyr
Daily Readings: Acts 5:27-33; John 3:31-36

The council of elders and priests welcomed the apostles. They warned them to stop what they were doing and not to use the name of Jesus.

However, Peter and the apostles answered that they would only obey God and not men. After hearing this, the high priests decided to put them to death.

The Gospel for today is an invitation to believe in Jesus. Jesus comes from the Father. The Father loves the Son, and He has given all things into his hand.

These readings continue to invite us to believe in Jesus, saying that whoever believes may have eternal life and will not perish in this world.

Many people are so distracted with technology that even in the morning, the first thing to do is to open the gadgets instead of praying and thanking God for a new day.

Do we still acknowledge that everything comes from God or are our eyes blinded because of our capacity and acquired ability to deal with life that is fully aided by technology?

In this Easter season, the invitation is to fully rejoice that God has risen from the dead, which means that we are hoping for a renewed life.

Lord, open our hearts to feel you, our eyes to see you, and our ears to hear your words. Amen.

RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.”  Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
