Workers India Federation Vows to Continue Promoting Workers’ Welfare

Workers India Federation held its annual general body meeting in Bhopal on August 23–24.

The Workers India Federation (WIF), a non-profit organization, reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare of workers during its annual general body meeting held in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, central India, from August 23–24.

Participants from 14 regions attended the meeting, including Archbishop Alangaram Arockia Sebastian Durairaj, SVD, of Bhopal, Vice Chairman of WIF Madhya Pradesh Region, and Bishop Alex Vaddakumthala, Chairman of the CBCI Office for Labour and WIF.

“We all had a wonderful experience, and we felt the enthusiastic approach for the unorganized workers from the regions,” said Priti Rose Kullu, a WIF official.

Founded in 2010 and based in New Delhi, the Workers India Federation seeks to promote the involvement of the Church and grassroots organizations in addressing the challenges of workers, especially those in the unorganized sector.
